Cwm Welfare AFC is a Welsh football club in the village of Beddau, Pontypridd. Formed in 1949, when Beddau Boys Club folded the team was set up and named after the Cwm pit based in the village at the time.
Currently, with over 250 registered players, We have men, women, girls and boys of all abilities playing across our age groups (u6-seniors) we are a growing club and are keen to continue to grow over the coming years.
Signed up to the United Nations Sports for Climate Action Framework pledging to work towards carbon neutrality we are also aiming to operate in a sustainable way not just for our planet but also financially sustainable.
Our First Team play in the South Wales Alliance Leagues, Our Development team Play in the Taff Ely and Rymney Valley League, and Our Women’s team play in the SWWGL. Our Youth Team Play in the South Wales Youth League and All other teams play in the Taff Ely and Rymney Valley Leagues.

We have Modern Changing Rooms Facilities (recently updated) with 4 changing rooms, 2 referees rooms all with showers and WCs.
We also have a clubhouse space located on site which has amazing views of both our pitches from our wrap-around balcony
